Big Get-Together for Children’s Service in Germany
Emso at the Conference
"As you already know, I really like being on the road and meeting children around the world. Last week, I was able to show many people the new booklet by our children's program. It is called DIVERSITY: WE ARE CHILDREN OF THE WORLD. Therefor I travelled to meet the 7-year-old Ernest from Ghana and the girl Ashleigh from South Africa. And because around 2.000 people (wow, so many!), who are actively working in children's service, met in Stuttgart - I went there as well.
The conference was organized by the Evangelical Churches in Germany and they had invited me and my team. We had built a colorful stand, at which everyone was able to look at our new booklet and pre-order it. I'm so happy that so many people are interested in children around the world. But what I like even better is that children are looking at how children's services in other countries are celebrated, as well as, how it is going to school in that country, what other children like to eat or to play.

Many Pictures and Conversations
On Saturday, I was able to take a few walks around the fair and to meet sooo many new people. And since it's rather rare to meet an elephant at a conference, children and adults wanted to take pictures with me. That was fun! And everyone was so kind with one other; they were relaxed and took their time to have conversations. I'm sure many new friendships started at that conference!
